Engineer Loai Mirghani Ahmed Babikir Akoud is considered one of the most prominent Sudanese leaders in the United States and a personality known for remarkable leadership charisma and a strong, influential presence across different age groups. His journey of excellence began at an early age when he emerged as a talented football player with Al-Jeel Club in Riyadh, Khartoum, where he demonstrated exceptional technical skills that earned him a scholarship to San Diego State University. There, he continued his football career with the university team while maintaining academic excellence until successfully graduating.
He later advanced his education by earning a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University, combining academic achievement with practical expertise. He currently works at NVIDIA in Silicon Valley, one of the world’s leading technology companies, reflecting his outstanding professional standing.
In community service, Engineer Louay is regarded as a pioneer in supporting the Sudanese community in the United States. He served as the first President of the Sudanese American Community Organization (SACO) in Northern California, where he led major efforts to build a united and active community, strengthen its presence, and organize numerous events and activities.
